Job Description

We are currently seeking Line Mechanics for our client.


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to build your career in the electrical distribution industry, focusing on the repair, maintenance, and installation of overhead line equipment.

Typical duties may include the following (and other relevant tasks):

  • Reinforce the supply fuse network to residential properties and overhead to underground conversions
  • Switch and testing overhead works
  • Street light installation
  • Install distribution boxes, kiosks and transformers


About You

You're a qualified line mechanic with proven experience (preferably, two or more years of post-registration experience). This experience includes all aspects of line maintenance, construction, and line fault repair services, working on LV, 11, 22, 33, and 66kv.

You have high regard for health and safety procedures, including an up-to-date understanding of the industry’s safety regulations, and you follow instructions precisely.

Glove and Barrier, and Hot Stick training are desirable, as is electrical experience in New Zealand.

  • Full Class 1, NZ Driver's licence
  • NZ Electrical registration (EWRB)
  • Current practising license
